CLOVE - USES IN GYNAECOLOGY

Cloves are flower buds used commonly in spices.

it has many names as Lavanga in Marathi , Laung in Hindi ,Clove in English &  Syzygium aromaticum as a Latin name.

Family - Myrtaceae.                        

Properties -

Rasa - Tikta katu

Virya - Sheeta

Vipaka - Katu

Guna - Laghu ,Snigdha ,Tikshna

Chemical Composition -

volatile oil ,Eugenol ,P, Fe ,Ca

Medicinal Properties -

1. Vajikaran (Aphrodisiac)

2. Mutrajanana ( stimulates / increases Formation of urine)

USES -

1.Used in Shukra stambhan Yogas

2.Mutrakriccha (difficulty in mituration)
