JAYAPHALA - USES IN GYNAECOLOGY

Jayaphala is  one of  the indian spices.

It has other names like Jayaphala in Marathi, Jatiphala  in Hindi , Jatiphala in Sanskrit , Nutmeg in English  &  Myristica fragrans as a latin name.

Family -  Myristicaceae.

     

Properties -

Rasa - Tikta katu 

 

Vipaka - Katu

Virya - Ushna 

Guna - Laghu, Tikshna ,Snigdha

Chemical Composition -

Volatile oil, Myritic acid , Myristicin

Medicinal Properties & Uses -

1. Vrushya 

2. Aartavajanana ( stimulates or increases menstrual blood flow )

3. Shukra stambhak ( Prevents premature ejaculation of sperms )

4. Kamotejjak ( Aphrodiasic)
