TAMALA - USES IN OBGY

Tamala is one of the spices .

It has other names like Tamalpatra in Marathi,Tamal in sanskrit & cinnamomum tamala as a Latin name.

It belongs to family - lauraceae 

Properties  - 

Rasa - Madhur ,katu , Tikta

Virya - Ushna

Vipaka - Madhur

Guna - Tikshna, laghu, snigdha

Medicinal properties -

1. Garbhashaya Shodhani

2. Mutrajanana (formation of urine)

3 . Removes Garbhashaya Shaithilya (weakening of uterine muscles/walls)

USES -

1.Used after Delivery 

2. In urinary disorders.

3. As it relieves Garbhashaya shaithilya thus prevents abortion.
