CHIANA ROSE - USES IN GYNAECOLOGY

 It is one of commonly occuring flowering plants.

 It is known by its other names as Jaswand in Marathi, Gudhal in Hindi, Japa in Sanskrit ,Chiana rose/ chianese hibiscus/ rose mallow in English & Having Hibiscus rosa as its latin name.

 Family - Malvaceae

Properties -

Rasa - Kashaya, Madhur

Virya - Sheeta

Vipaka - Katu

Chemical Constituents -

P , Fe, Ca, Vit .B & C

USES -

1. Gulkand of its petals is used as kamottejaka ( Aphrodisiacs )

2. Buds with milk are used in Raktapradara ( Abnormal Uterine Bleeding ).
