BRAMHI -USES IN GYNAECOLOGY

It is Known as Bramhi in Marathi ,Bramhi & Jalnim in Hindi , Bramhi in Sanskrit & Bacopa in English. 

Latin Name - Bacopa monnieria

Family - Scrophulariaceae

                    

Properties -

Rasa - Tikta , Kashay , Madhur

Virya - Sheeta

Vipaka - Madhur

Guna - Laghu 

Prabhav - Unmad , Apasmara Nashak

Chemical Constituents -

Alkaloid ,Bramhin ,Manitol , sigmesterol ,Beutilinic acid, Saponin ,gyama sitesterol

Parts Used - Leaves 

USES -

🌱 Majja dhatu gets nourished leading to Shukraposhana( nourishment of  shukra)

🌱 It leads to kleda vruddhi and  works as Mutral (Increases or stimulates formation of urine) so used in Mutradaha ( Burning Micturition) , Sarakta Mutrapravrutti (Haematuria) ,shool (Pain) & Mutraashmari ( renal stones).

🌱 Bramhisiddha ksheer is used in Mutrakriccha ( difficulty in micturition) & Ashmari ( renal stones).
