It is also known as Bermuda grass , Dhoop or Durva grass.

Latin Name - Cynodon dactylon 

Family - Graminaceae

Properties -

Rasa - Kashay ,Madhur 

Virya - Sheeta 

Vipaka - Katu 

Guna - Laghu 

Chemical constituents -

Ca, P , Mg , Na, K

Medicinal Properties -

1.Prajasthapan ( fertility promotor)

2.Garbhashaithilyahar ( gives strength to muscles of uterus by lessening its weakness)

USES -

1. Used in Pradar ( Abnormal vaginal discharges) due to its Kashaya rasa

2. used to prevent Garbhapat - strava (abortion) due to its Prajasthapak & Garbhashayshaithilyahar property.

3. used in Yonivyapada ( diseases of reproductive system) as Garbhashaya balya ( for giving strength to uterus)
