Ayurvedic Panchkarma is now a days heard by everyone But People are unaware of exactly what is Ayurvedic Panchkarma treatment ? Which Ayurveda therapies include in Panchkarma therapies ? What is done in it ? Why it is done ?
This post makes an effort to let them get brief information about this Ayurvedic Panchkarma Therapy.
These therapies are done after specific purvakarma ( procedures done prior to the main panchkarma therapy).
The Use of these Panchkarma therapies also depend on the seasonal changes.
These are the Ayurveda treatment collectively called as Panchkarma in Ayurveda. They are - "Vamana , Virechana , Basti , Nasya , raktamokshan."
Let's get to know about each of them in brief.
1) Vamana Therapy -
It is specially done for Kapha dosha & Kapha related disorders.
In this type of treatment , vomiting is induced with the help of Ayurveda medications.
In short , It is medicated emesis.
2) Virechan Therapy -
It is specially for Pitta dosha & Pitta related disorders.
In this - your treatment is done in which purgation is induced with the help of medicated drugs.
3) Basti Treatment -
It is done specially for Vata dosha & Vata disorders.
In this , Basti is an ayurvedic treatment in which an ayurvedic oil / kwatha ( decoction) of ayurvedic medicines is inserted in the Body through anal region.
4) Nasya Therapy -
It is an Ayurvedic therapeutic procedure in which there is instillation of medicated ayurvedic medicine through nasal route.
5) Raktmokshana -
It is treatment used to remove impure blood from your body .
In it , carefully a controlled amount of impure blood is removed from your body.
