It is known as Ativish in Marathi , Atis in Hindi , Ativisha in Sanskrit & Indian atees in English.

Properties -

Rasa - Tikta, katu

Virya - Ushna

Vipaka - Katu

Guna - Laghu,Ruksha

USES -

1.Stanyashodhan -

Due to Tikta-katu rasa & Ushna virya , it works as stanyashodhak ( purifies breast milk) by cleansing action for kapha pitta dushta stanya.so used in stanyadushti.( impurities of breast milk).

2.Vajikarana -

Due to Ushnavirya it works as vajikarana (Aphrodiasic).
