LODHRA - USES IN GYNAECOLOGY

 It is known as Lodhra in Marathi , Hindi & Sanskrit.

Latin Name - Symplocos racemosa

Family - symplocaceae

                        

Properties -

Rasa - Kashaya

Virya - Sheeta

Vipaka - Katu

Guna - Laghu, ruksha

Chemical Constituents - Lacturin , Calacturin ,Lacturidin , Glycosides

Parts Used - Skin 

                        

USES -

🌱Due to kashya rasa, uterine vessels gets contracted and gets closed so rakta, kleda & other secretions gets decreased.

🌱Garbhashaya shaithilya & oedema of uterus gets relieved.

🌱 It is used in Kaphapittaj & raktaj yoniroga , Atyartava (Menorrhagia / Menorrhagia), raktapradara ( abnormal uterine bleeding), Shwetpradara ( Leucorrhoea).

🌱Pradara - Lodhra kwatha is used.
